Wise Country

Wise Country is built on seasoned players who know their craft. Jim leads with vocals and guitar, backed by Gale Watson on drums, Jim Schiavone on bass, Mike Moody on steel, dobro, and lap steel, Jim Lezzer on rhythm guitar, and Nancy Byrne on vocals, with special fiddle appearances by Mickee Westerman. Together, we bring that full Nashville sound, tight harmonies, and a song list that keeps dance floors packed all night long. I personally sought out each band member. Gale is not only a great drummer, but he's also an awesome sound technician. Gale is really the engine that drives this band. Nancy brings a whole new dimension to the group, having been an Emmy Award winning news journalist for years before retiring. She gives this band a huge boost in professionalism and we all know how lucky we are to have her in the band. Mike also brings so much to the band with his versatility on several instruments and is that added layer of musicality that most bands don't offer. Our bass player Jim also has years of experience and really locks the band into a solid groove. Our second guitarist Jim Lezzer was the last piece of the band that we added because he not only plays great rhythm guitar but is also an accomplished lead guitar player. Mickie is a trained violinist who brings yet another dimension to the group. We are always looking forward to her performing with us when she's available. I'm very proud of this group and we look forward to performing for you soon!
